Services

Maury Magic Riders offers the chance for children and adults with disabilities to learn to ride horses. This is also a chance for them to participate in an activity that might otherwise be unavailable to them. Currently, we have two PATH International, registered instructors who volunteer their time with MMR.

Riding Lessons

We hold 3 riding sessions throughout the spring, summer and fall of each year.  Each Session lasts for eight weeks.  Each rider will ride one day per week, for an hour.

Benefits of Equine Assisted Activities & Therapy

Some benefits that riders often show are increased flexibility, coordination, improved balance, muscle tone, confidence, self-esteem, patience, etc. All can learn responsibility, gain independence and acceptance through developing a relationship with a horse.
