Our History |
Maury Magic Riders was founded by four women who had a desire and a vision to start a place where disabilities can disappear. Where caring volunteers, teach horsemanship to those with special needs through therapeutic horseback riding, where physical and mental strength grow and they can gain confidence in themselves. Maury Magic Riders was originally located on a dairy farm owned by one of the four original members. They began giving riding lessons to students in the fall of 1997 with two donated horses that were from a neighbor down the road. In 2005 Maury Magic Riders moved to a beautiful 26 acre property just outside of Columbia, TN. Today we have grown and have 2 ponies and 5 horses that now serve 23 riders.
